After Monday's right way/wrong way workshop i feel we all had to take a few steps back.
I know all of us have had experiences when we were students, and were somehow shamed
or embarrassed during class. The question is what can we do to make sure we never embarrass
or shame one of our students? Sadly I am sure there will be occasions where we do unintentionally hurt our students feelings. what we can do though is try not to react to situations
so fast. I know this will be difficult, but I think we all can learn something from the skits our groups performed on Monday.

Ooooops,
ReplyDeleteI did not get to finish my thought!
I just wanted to say i realy enjoyed watching
everybody's skits, and the one thing i think we
all did right during the RIGHT WAY skit, was
to try to make the student feel a sense of pride
in some way.('.')!
What are some of the things you all liked about
the group skits??
Ryan('.')
I really liked to hear about everyone's personal experiences both positive and negative. It is so interesting to watch one another stretch and share and support one another! The use of the word silly made me think about how I use the word and if I do it to shame a person??? I did this to my partner and when he later, turned the saying around on me, It didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling :). Although it didn't really bother me either but it is funny how one word can hold so much meaning.
