I <3 cohort cubed

This is not original, but I too would like to thank everyone for sharing their I am from poems in class yesterday. It's not often that we as crazy American people get to build such a close-knit community such as our cohort. I've only experienced it one other time and that's when I was living abroad. When you are abroad, you have something in common with all of the other students as you are all living in a completely foreign environment and struggling to understand the culture and language. This shared experience of being totally out of your element really brings out the best in people and creates a bond that's totally different than friendships and relationships you make out of sheer election.
I'm feeling similarly with this group. I have no idea if in other circumstances that any of us would have wound up being so close and respecting so much of each other but because of the totally new and foreign environment created from our new found information, we are finding ourselves fumbling down this path together and I couldn't ask for a more supportive and caring group to go on this journey with. I guess it doesn't hurt that we all have the same goals and aspirations of bringing about hope and changing the lives of children for the better...but either way, it's cool.

Ok sappy stuff over with :)
