I believe a classroom needs respect. From the very beginning I believe that we as teachers need to model the importance of respect. Our students need to know that in our classroom we will be working together for the entire school year and we will need to learn how to accept everyone for their similarities and their differences. We are all special and important and we will find it hard to get along at times and easier during others. There are many views we can take from respect, but believing that we make sure very child feels important and knows every one else in the class is important I believe will help everyone encompass equality.
I think all teachers need to know what they believe in and why they are where they are. We are all becoming teachers for a reason and to devise and posses those beliefs I know will allow us to become confident in ourselves and find values in our profession. We can't let circumstances, instances, or coincidences get in the way. If anything we will have conflicts on a daily basis and we will need to digest them and learn from them rather than allowing them frustrate or damper our demeanor. I really enjoy having, 'Is this the bridge I'm willing to die on' ingrained in my head. I know we will constantly experience tough times and this will always encourage me to stop, think, and evaluate.
